Softball Hosts Lipscomb For Mid-Week Show Down

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State softball team returns to Tiger Field on Wednesday, March 25, for a midweek matchup against Lipscomb. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

Tennessee State is coming off an Ohio Valley Conference series against UT Martin, where the Tigers continued to show resilience and flashes of strong individual performances.

In the series finale, Alexis Woods paced the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate. Kailyn Jean-Baptiste added a hit as TSU created late-game opportunities and pressure on the bases.

Inside the circle, Chelsi Ervin delivered an impressive outing, tossing 6.0 innings while allowing just one earned run to keep the Tigers within striking distance.

TSU broke through in the seventh inning, stringing together timely hits before Kyra Taylor drove in the Tigers' lone run of the game.
