NASHVILLE — Tennessee State volleyball continues non-conference play this weekend with three matches at the Golden Eagle Invitational, hosted by Tennessee Tech at the Hooper Eblen Center in Cookeville, Tennessee.

The Tigers will play twice Friday, opening against Green Bay at 12:30 p.m. CT before facing Austin Peay at 4:30 p.m. TSU will close the tournament Saturday against host Tennessee Tech at 2 p.m.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

Friday, Sept. 4
12:30 p.m. — Tennessee State vs. Green Bay
4:30 p.m. — Tennessee State vs. Austin Peay

Saturday, Sept. 5
2 p.m. — Tennessee State at Tennessee Tech

THE FIELD

The four-team tournament features Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Austin Peay and Green Bay. Each team will play three matches over the two-day event.

TSU's matchup with Austin Peay will be the Tigers' second match Friday, while Saturday's finale against Tennessee Tech will give Tennessee State its first look at an Ohio Valley Conference opponent this season. The match will count as a nonconference contest.

Following the Golden Eagle Invitational, Tennessee State returns to Nashville for a pair of home matches. The Tigers will host North Alabama on Tuesday before welcoming Evansville on Thursday. TSU will then travel to Evansville, Indiana, for a Saturday matchup with the Purple Aces.
