NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Over the weekend, the Tennessee State women's tennis team began its season at Middle Tennessee State, dropping the match to the Blue Raiders, 7-0.
The team of Trinity Randolph and Jade Daniels started the day by winning one game in the doubles portion of the match, before falling 8-1.
MTSU picked up the doubles point when Attalah Eiland and Victoria Haynes lost to the Blue Raider team, 8-0.
In singles, Eiland was defeated by Flavia Nagayama, 6-0, 6-1, and Randolph was beaten, 6-1, 6-0.
TSU's No. 5 player Adrianne Presley dropped her match to Irana Constantinide, 6-0, 6-1, then Haynes succumbed to her opponent 6-1, 6-0.
Daniels, playing in TSU's top spot, closed the match by falling to Tiffany William, 6-0, 6-1.
The Tigers will come home to face Stillman on March 7. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m.
