Tennessee State University has developed a plan to allow for a limited number of fans to attend its home football games this spring at Hale Stadium as well as volleyball contests in Kean Hall.
Key components of TSU's spring football attendance plan, which is based on guidelines from the CDC, state and local health authorities, university leadership and the Ohio Valley Conference in response to COVID-19, include face covering requirements throughout the stadium, social distancing between households and no tailgating on campus.
Attendance will be limited to 2,500 individuals for the 2020 spring football season. The 2,500-per game limit represents about 15 percent of the regular Hale Stadium capacity of 15,000.
Fans will be required to wear masks and to maintain social distance, as well as follow other health and safety protocols during the game.
There will be 500 season tickets available for purchase, which will provide access to all four home contests.
