NASHVILLE --- The Ohio Valley Conference series between Tennessee State and Eastern Kentucky has been pushed back a day due to weather in the Richmond, Ky. area. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 12:00 p.m. CT and play the finale on Monday at noon.

TSU is in the midst of a 12 game road trip. The first leg began in a doubleheader sweep at the hands of Belmont on Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers were held scoreless on six hits on the day.
The Big Blue looks to rebound with an offensive unit led by a pair of .300 hitters. Anayah Baker-Rowell is batting .326 and leads the unit with 28 hits, 12 runs, five doubles, three triples, and 12 runs batted in. The freshman also has two home runs and has amassed a .523 slugging percentage. Bri Vire follows at .321, going 27-for-87 with four doubles, a triple, eight RBI and four stolen bases. The senior leads the squad with 11 walks and a .402 on base percentage.
The Tigers have used six pitchers on the year, but work primarily with three person staff. Raven Loveless has appeared in 14 games, starting 12, tossing 79.1 innings and producing a 2.56 ERA and 43 strikeouts. Lauren Powell continues to lead the Tigers with 47 strikeouts in 56.1 innings of work with a 4.50 ERA. Francys King has come on lately appearing in 10 games, with four starts and 38.2 innings pitched. The freshman is 3-2 with a 1.99 ERA with 32 punch outs and 11 walks.Â
Powell's next start will make her number one in program history in games started in the circle. Currently the redshirt-senior is tied with Shea Morris who started 76 games from 2012-14.

Samantha Reynoso and Mollie Paulick have provided support tossing 38.1 and 36.2 innings, respectively. Reynoso has struck out 39 batters and has earned a 5-2 record with a 3.29 ERA. Paulick remains undefeated at 5-0 with a 1.34 ERA and has fanned 38 batters.
