Box Score DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Tennessee State softball team fell to North Florida this afternoon and game two against Jacksonville was called due to weather.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
BOT 2ND: UNF's Shannon Glover led off the inning with a single up the middle and stole second. Gianna Niemeier reached on an infield single as Glover moved to third. On the next play, Niemeier was thrown out attempting to steal second base. With one out, Hayley Bejarano logged an RBI groundout to give the Osprey a lead. ||
UNF, 1-0
BOT 4TH: With one out, Paige Pfent laced a double down the right field line. Bailee Aguigui pinch-ran for Pfent and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Glover tallied her second hit of the game with an RBI single to center. Niemeier notched a base hit and moved Glover into scoring position. Abi Annett extended the lead to 3-0 with an RBI base knock through the left side. After a pitching change for TSU, Regan Hermeling reached on a fielding error which allowed Niemeier to score. With two outs, Hadlee Reichert made it to first on a fielder's choice and drove in Annett. ||
UNF, 5-0
BOT 5TH: With one out and a five-run lead, Pfent blasted a home run to left field to increase the advantage for the Ospreys. ||
UNF, 6-0
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Raven Loveless made the start for TSU and went 3.2 innings, allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits and struck out one batter.
- Kayli Mothershed was the lone Tiger to reach base, as she walked in the second inning.
- UNF's Halle Arends went a complete game, allowed no hits, one walk and struck out five batters.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Caitlyn Manus made her 13th appearance in the circle, third in the OVC.
- Arends, a UNLV transfer, tossed her first career no-hitter on Wednesday.
- It was the eighth time this season in which TSU has been shutout.
