Box Score NASHVILLE – The Tennessee State women's tennis team opened their 2023 spring slate on Sunday afternoon as they took on Jacksonville State inside the Vanderbilt Indoor Tennis Courts. JSU defeated TSU 7-0.
 
The No. 2 doubles duo of Franka Sindicic and Naomi Von Bose picked up a 6-3 win over Irene Artigas and Polina Ramenskaja. The doubles win marks more doubles wins than TSU picked up all last season.
 
Van Bose had a close match in the No. 2 doubles as she lost 2-6, 4-6. Aroa Arrieta Castillo lost in a battle in the No. 4 singles as she lost 1-6, 7-5, 12-14.
 
The Tigers will be back in action as they are set to travel to Huntsville, Ala., to take on Alabama A&M next Sunday.
