SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State men's golf team shot a 309 in their first round of the spring season on Sunday afternoon to finish in 14^th of 14 after day one of the 54-hole Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate.
 
TSU had three players shoot in the 70's, led by Carter Walton (74) who is currently tied for 38^th after the first round. Sebert Walker finished one stroke back with a 75 and is tied for 48^th. Jeremiah Gardenhire also found himself in the 70's with a 79, which has him tied for 74^th.
 
Isaac Napier shot an 81 to finish tied for 80^th, while Allen Stokes sits two strokes back with an 83 which ties him for 86^th.
 
TSU will continue the three-day event with 18 more holes tomorrow.
