JACKSON, Tenn. — Mason Hunter tied for 44th to lead the Tennessee State men's golf team at the Grover Page Classic, hosted by UT Martin Sept. 14-15 at Jackson Country Club.
The Tigers finished 10th in the 10-team field with a three-round total of 936, finishing 72 over par. Tennessee State opened with a 301 before posting rounds of 310 and 325.
Hunter finished at 12-over 228, opening with a 77 before shooting an even-par 72 in the second round and closing with a 79. He recorded the Tigers' lowest score in each of the final two rounds.
Caden Powell tied for 50th at 15-over 231. Powell opened with a 3-under-par 69, Tennessee State's lowest round of the tournament, before shooting 80 and 82.
Greyson Koch placed 60th at 23-over 239 with rounds of 77, 80 and 82. Bo Twerdahl finished 63rd at 29-over 245 after posting scores of 78, 85 and 82.
Fischer Pieratt placed 64th at 38-over 254, shooting a second-round 78 between rounds of 88.
Competing as an individual, Seojin Yoon finished 67th at 50-over 266. Yoon shot 90 and 92 before closing with an 84. His scores did not count toward Tennessee State's team total.
UT Martin won the team title at 6-under 858, finishing 11 strokes ahead of Samford. Missouri State placed third at 10-over 874.
Southeastern Louisiana's David Marsh, UT Martin's Grant Phillips, Middle Tennessee's Jake Hopper and Samford's Ryder Rasmussen shared individual medalist honors at 4-under 212.
Tennessee State Results
