NASHVILLE – Tennessee State women's tennis player Warona Mdlulwa was named to the All-OVC Second Team, which marks the first Ohio Valley Conference postseason accolade for the women's tennis program since 1999, as the league announced its winner on Thursday evening.

The first-year Tiger from Spain has been a vital part of the team's success, as she helped lead TSU to a 2-3 record in the OVC. Mdlulwa went 3-2 in the No. 1 spot during OVC play and helped the Tigers land the No. 4 spot, their best seed in program history, as they enter the OVC Tournament. She holds a 2-1 record in doubles action throughout OVC play.

Mdlulwa has a 6-16 mark in singles play during the spring, playing mostly in the No. 1 spot. She finished with a 4-13 record in doubles play.

The Tigers will be in action tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m., as they are set to take on No. 5 Lindenwood in their first-round matchup of the OVC Tournament in Paducah, Ky.
