MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. - The Tennessee State men's golf team kicked off its journey in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail with the first round of competition on Sunday.

The Tigers carded 313 as a team, landing them in 8th place out of 11 teams after the first round.

Leading the team were Isaac Napier, Spencer McCranie, and Carter Walton, all finishing with identical scores of 78. The trio is tied for 28^th place.

Jared Southerland finished one stroke back with a 79 and is tied for 36th after the first 18. Bo Twerdahl logged an 82 which has him tied for 45^th.

TSU will return to the course tomorrow morning for round two.
