MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. - In round two of the Ohio Valley Conference golf tournament, the Tennessee State men's golf team improved their performance, shaving two strokes off their round score to log a 311. Despite the improvement, the Tigers slipped two spots to 10th place overall (313, 311 - 624).
Jared Southerland led the charge on Tuesday, firing a 75 to finish tied for 33rd alongside teammate Isaac Napier, who shot a 76 in round two. Following closely behind, Spencer McCranie trails Southerland and Napier by two strokes, posting his second 78 of the tournament for a total of 156 after 36 holes, securing 42nd place.
Bo Twerdahl demonstrated consistency with another 82 in round two, placing him tied for 45th. Meanwhile, Carter Walton carded an 89, landing him in 48th place.
TSU will return to the course tomorrow morning for round three of the event.
