Women’s Track & Field Excels at Morehouse Relays with Dominant Performances

ATLANTA — The Tennessee State women's track and field team secured multiple top finishes at the Morehouse Relays over the weekend. 

The Women's 4x4 team (Sanura Branigan, Selena Carlyle, Syriah Boyd, Serenity Harry) dominated the competition, finishing 1st with a time of 3:50.90.

In the Women's 200m, Serenity Harry claimed another victory, securing 1st place with a time of 24.36. Sanura Branigan (4th, 24.71) and Selena Carlyle (6th, 25.27) also posted strong finishes.

The Women's Sprint Medley team (Kara Stewart, Pearl Onwnmbiko, Haley Blades, and Sydney McGee) dominated with a 1st-place finish in 4:20.07.

Sanura Branigan finished 2nd in the Women's 400m (55.73), while Syriah Boyd secured 6th (59.11). Serenity Harry showcased her speed by winning the Women's 100m (11.97), with A'Marie Khan finishing 10th (12.53).

The Women's 4x1 team (Sanura Branigan, Selena Carlyle, A'Marie Khan, Serenity Harry) secured 2nd place (46.46), while the 4x2 team (Syriah Boyd, Kara Stewart, Kaitlyn Cook, A'Marie Khan) finished 3rd (1:42.62).

In the Women's Shot Put, Carolyn McRee secured 1st place (11.80), and in the Women's Discus, she finished 4th (28.62).

Kaitlyn Cook dominated the Women's 100m Hurdles, winning the event in 14.60. Natalya Bryant followed in 2nd (14.81), with Selena Carlyle (3rd, 15.25), Pearl Onwnmbiko (5th, 15.44), Kara Stewart (9th, 15.80), and Jaylah Milfort (11th, 15.99) rounding out the competition.

Sydney McGee led the Women's 800m, finishing 3rd (2:27.17), followed by Haley Blades (4th, 2:29.34) and Maleia Ali (9th, 2:35.87).

Women's 400m Hurdles saw Kara Stewart finish 5th (1:08.45), Pearl Onwnmbiko 9th (1:11.62), and Ajmoné Myers 11th (1:15.23).

Women's Javelin saw Natalya Bryant finish 7th (22.43) and Jaylah Milfort 11th (16.50).

Kaitlyn Cook earned 2nd place in the Women's Triple Jump with a mark of 11.99, while she also secured 1st place in the Women's Long Jump (5.21). Natalya Bryant finished 5th (5.04).

Serenity Harry finished 2nd in the Women's 100m Finals (12.13), while Natalya Bryant won the Women's 100m Hurdles Final (14.58), followed by Selena Carlyle in 2nd (15.26) and Pearl Onwnmbiko in 6th (16.56).
