NASHVILLE — Tennessee State guard Dante Harris put together a strong week, averaging 19.5 points, 3.0 assists, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 55.2 percent from the field, as announced by the OVC on Monday.
The 6-foot graduate guard from Washington, D.C., shot 16-of-29 overall, 3-of-6 from 3-point range and a perfect 4-of-4 at the free-throw line. The Memphis transfer opened the week with 19 points and three assists against SIUE, playing 37 minutes without committing a turnover.
Harris followed with 20 points, three assists, three steals and two rebounds in a 10-point road win at Lindenwood. He connected on 9-of-14 shots, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, in the victory.
Through the week, Harris ranked second in the Ohio Valley Conference in assists at 4.2 per game and sixth in steals at 1.95 per contest.
