NASHVILLE — Tennessee State freshman Jackson Pieratt has been named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer Team, recognizing his strong debut season for the Tigers.

Pieratt made an immediate impact in TSU's lineup, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Missouri State Intercollegiate. He posted a 54-hole total of 6-under, firing rounds of 68, even-par 72 and 70 to secure one of the top individual performances by a Tiger this season.

"I'm incredibly happy for Jackson," said head coach Parrish McGrath. "He came in with a high level of talent and has only continued to improve. He's one of the most coachable players I've been around in my years in golf."

The freshman also delivered a top-five finish at the TSU Big Blue Invitational, tying for third at 4-under overall. His performance included a consistent three-round showing that helped pace Tennessee State in its home event.

Pieratt added another standout result at the Bridgestone HBCU Invitational, tying for sixth at even par. He carded a tournament-best 7-under round during the event, showcasing his ability to produce low scores against a competitive field.

Throughout the season, Pieratt provided steady contributions across multiple tournaments, including appearances at the SIUE Dolenc Invitational, Bubba Barnett Invitational and The Colonel Shootout. His consistency and scoring ability positioned him as one of the top newcomers in the conference.

The All-OVC Newcomer Team honor caps a promising first year for Pieratt and signals a bright future as Tennessee State continues to build its program.
