Robert Leads men's Golf at TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee State men's golf team delivered a strong showing on its home course, finishing tied for third overall at the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate held at Hermitage Golf Course – Presidents Reserve.

The Tigers posted a three-round team total of +12 (5-1-6) to secure a podium finish in a competitive field, highlighted by a medalist performance and several strong individual outings from Tennessee State golfers.

Leading the way was Quincy Robert, who earned co-medalist honors with a three-round total of 5-under par, marking the first collegiate victory of his career. Robert opened the tournament with consecutive rounds of 69 before closing with a 70 in the final round. His steady play across all three days kept him at the top of the leaderboard and paced the Tigers throughout the event.

Jackson Pieratt followed with another standout performance, finishing tied for third at 4-under par. Pieratt fired the lowest round by a Tiger during the tournament with an opening-round 67 and remained in contention throughout the week, adding rounds of 72 and 70 to secure a top-three finish.

Tennessee State added depth to its team score with solid efforts across the lineup. Aden Napier placed tied for 42nd at +13, rebounding after the opening round with improved scores of 73 and 74 over the final two days to help stabilize the Tigers' team performance. Sampo Stahl also contributed to the team effort, finishing tied for 56th at +16.

The Tigers received additional contributions from multiple competitors representing TSU. Isaac Napier finished tied for 60th at +20, while individual participants Luke Greig (T47, +14), Greyson Barrett (T62, +21), Bo Twerdahl (T68, +23), and Seojin Yoon (79th, +42) gained valuable tournament experience competing on their home course. Greig highlighted his performance with rounds of 73 and 72 over the first two days of competition.

Tennessee State showed consistency throughout the tournament, improving in round two and closing strong in the final round to secure the team's podium finish in front of its home crowd.

The Tigers will look to carry the momentum from their home tournament performance into the remainder of the spring season as postseason play approaches.
