TSU Closes Out EKU Series with 4-3 Win

Richmond, Ky.--- Tennessee State softball handed host Eastern Kentucky its first OVC loss of the season thanks to a 4-3 victory over the Colonels Saturday afternoon. TSU improves to 8-16, 2-4 OVC while EKU moves to 15-8, 5-1 OVC.

Sophomore Tamara Perkins put the Tigers ahead early with a one out blast to center field in the first inning. Favorable, sophomore Bridget Metzger followed Perkins shot with a solo homerun of her own to left field.
