RESULTS

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State Tigerbelles hosted six schools and 235 athletes in its sole home meet of the season, the Edward Temple Classic, Sunday, Jan. 5. 

Angel Horton took top spots in the long and triple jump, leading the Tigerbelles with leaps of 5.57m and 12.07m, respectively. Adding to the fierce field team, Amani Taylor took third in the weight throw and fifth in the shot put, while her teammate Mikayla Thompson threw 15.14m in the shot put to take second and 17.38m in the weight throw to take fourth. 

Mid-distance star Rebekah Wynn placed second in the 800 meter dash (2:32.56) and fourth in the mile (5:43.13). 

Newcomer Alysoune Coleman led TSU in the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and was a member of the 4x400 relay team that placed second overall. 

The Tigerbelles return to action at the University of Kentucky for its Jim Green Invitational, Jan. 10-11.
