BIRMINGHAM, ALA. --- The Tennessee State women’s track and field team finished in sixth place with 69 points at the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship on Thursday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Grenetria Shell, Angel Horton and Mikayla Thompson each earned medals for the Tigerbelles on day two. 

• Shell  earned her second OVC silver medal in the 60m hurdles with a 8.67 performance. 
• In the field events, Horton finished third for bronze with a 11.59m leap in the triple jump and Thomspon took second in the shot put with a toss of 14.38m for silver. 
• In the 4x400m relay, TSU’s team of Alysoune Coleman, Zion White, Tyra Cullum, Shell clocked in at 3:51.97 for fourth, beating the previous year's 4x4 time of 3:56.41. 
• Coleman added a fifth place finish in the 400m in 57.31. 
• Kelsea Buchanan and Alyse Neal each picked up fifth place finishes in their respective events; Buchanan crossing the 60m hurdle line in 9.02 and Buchanan leaping 11.52m in the triple jump.
