NASHVILLE — Maleah Decuir won two events to lead the Tennessee State Tigerbelles indoor track and field team on Sunday afternoon at the Ed Temple Classic at the Gentry Center.
Decuir claimed the shot put and eighted thrown.
Inside the cage, Decuir launched the shot put 12.10m and then went further with the weighted throw at 15.37m.
On the track, TSU won three events with
Ajmone Myers taking the 1mile in a time of 6:26.92. and Jayda Drake Howard won the 55m hurdles in 8.39.
Sanura Branigan won the 200m in 26.33. Drake Howard finished second in 26.34 and
Reyna Sawyer placed third in 26.78.
TSU will compete at the Martin Luther King Jr. College Invitation on Jan. 15 in Louisville before returning to Nashville to compete at Vanderbilt the weekend of Jan. 21-22.
