BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference announced that Tennessee State women's golfer Erin Marcelino was named the OVC Golfer of the Week after her performance this past Monday and Tuesday in the Alabama A&M Collegiate Golf Invitational.
 
The freshman fired a two-day total of 162 in the invitational to earn a second-place overall finish in the event. Marcelino fired an 80 in round one on Monday, followed by an 82 in Tuesday's second round.
 
Marcelino leads the Tigers with a low of 561 strokes through seven rounds this fall. The freshman has a low round score of 77 and has an average round score of 80.1
 
As a team, TSU played 54-holes over the course of two days at the Robert Trent Jones Trail at Hampton Cove in Huntsville, Ala. TSU finished with a two-day total of 707 after shooting a 349 in round one, followed by a 358 in round two. The Tigers finished in 4^th out of five teams.
