MONTGOMERY, ALA. — The Tennessee State University (TSU) women's golf team opened the Spring season with a ninth place finish at the Alabama State Spring Classic at Arrowhead Country Club. The team finished 9th out of 12 teams, recording a total score of 674 over two rounds (337 each day).

Senior Lucia Pantigozo led the Tigers, tying for 11th place individually with a two-round total of 159 (80 in the first round, 79 in the second). Freshman Lorien Sweet also delivered a strong performance, tying for 28th place with a total score of 166 (89 in the first round, improving to 77 in the second).

Junior Trixie Sabulao tied for 40th, posting scores of 87 and 87 for a total of 174. Sophomore TaLese Vaughn rounded out the team, finishing 50th with rounds of 94 and 94, totaling 188.

The tournament was won by the University of Evansville, which posted a combined team score of 608. Evansville's Ekaterina Petrova secured the individual title with a total score of 147.
