NASHVILLE — The Tennessee State University women's golf team secured a dominant victory at the Starks Invitational, finishing atop the leaderboard with a team score of +85 over two rounds. The Tigers edged out Chicago State (+94) by nine strokes, while Fisk University finished third. The win was TSU's first invitational win in program history. 

Lorien Sweet led the charge for TSU, tying for third place individually with a total score of +17 (Round 1: +12, Round 2: +5). Trixie Sabulao followed closely, finishing fourth at +18, while Lucia Pantogozo placed fifth with a +21 total. TaLese Vaughn rounded out the Tigers' scoring effort at +29, securing seventh place.

The team showcased resilience and consistency across both rounds, posting scores of +42 and +43 to hold off Chicago State. Despite a strong individual effort from Chicago State's Gia Lamba, who claimed the individual title at +11, TSU's balanced performance across the lineup proved to be the difference.
