DALTON, Ga. — The 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship gets underway Sunday, April 19, as nine programs compete across 54 holes at Dalton Golf and Country Club for the league title.

The historic venue, featuring a restored 2020 redesign, will host Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Morehead State, Little Rock, Lindenwood, Eastern Illinois, Bryant, Southern Indiana, and Western Illinois in a three-day stroke-play battle for the OVC crown.

Tennessee State enters championship play looking to close the season with a strong finish behind its developing roster, highlighted by freshman Anessa Riglos, who earned a spot on the OVC All-Newcomer Team prior to the start of competition.

Riglos has been one of TSU's most consistent performers throughout her debut season, providing steady production in the lineup while gaining valuable experience against top conference fields.

Tennessee State head coach McGrath said, "Anessa has worked hard all year and deserves this recognition. She's looking forward to OVC's and to close the year out strong."

The OVC field is once again led by defending champion Morehead State, alongside a deep Tennessee Tech squad and a competitive Little Rock group featuring multiple repeat All-OVC selections.

For TSU, the focus shifts to executing across three rounds on a demanding championship layout that rewards precision and consistency. With postseason recognition already secured for Riglos, the Tigers will aim to build momentum through Sunday's opening round and carry that effort through the week.
