NASHVILLE — The Tennessee State University Tigerbelles competed at the Western Kentucky Hilltopper Relays over the weekend.
Sanura Branigan finished fourth in the 200m in 25.01. Branigan was 0.55 seconds behind the winner. In the 400m,
Reyna Sawyer hit the finish line in 59.13 for seventh place. Jayda Drake Howard placed seventh in the 100mh hurdles in 14.72.
In relays, The Tigerbelles finished first and third in the 4x400 in 3.59:63 and 4:09.91, respectively. In the 4x100, TSU finished third in 48.33.
In field events,
Emani Johnson placed second in the long jump with a distance of 5.48m.
Alayna Darrett placed third in the triple jump at 11.30m.
Maleah Decuir came in sixth place in the shot put with a toss of 12.67m and
Antania Swain came in ninth (11.69m). Swain then competed in the discussion and finished eighth with a distance of 39.14m and the hammer (13th) in 42.86m.
The Tigerbelles will next compete April 15-16 at the Kennesaw State Invitational.
