LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Competing in their third indoor meet of the season, the Tennessee State TigerBelles finished in second place in the Louisville Urban League KSU HBCU Indoor Classic with 140 points, just behind Lane College who racked up 146.
TSU had six first-place finishes, and 17 top-three finishes on the afternoon.
The TigerBelles had three first-place finishers in the running events with
Serenity Harry taking home two first-place finishes. Harry got first in the 60m dash with a time of 7.65, followed by a first-place finish in the 200m dash with a 24.91.
Natalya Bryant was able to take home first in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.11.
Elaina Housworth and
Leilany Laureano both continued their hot starts to the indoor season as Housworth racked up first-place finishes in the long jump (5.62m) and in the triple jump (12.12m). Laureano took home first in the shot put with a toss of 13.55m.
