NASHVILLE- The Tennessee State University Flying Tiger 4x400 meter relay team of
Morgan Jones,
Nigel Simon Jr.,
Quest Agee, and Thomas McMullen raced with a time of 3:16.32 to earn fourth place in the highly competitive Vanderbilt Invitational. The finish was the team's best of the day in the meet, which featured some of the best teams in the country.
Zavante Chichester finished sixth in the 60-meter run with an 8.22 time giving TSU two top-10 finishes in running events. Jones missed finishing in the top 10 in the 400-meter run with his 11th-place time of 48.86.
In field events,
David Dorsey finished eighth in the long jump with a leap of 7.24.
David Dorsey's 7.24 jump earned him an eighth-place finish in the triple jump.
Keandric Verge (6.97) and
Anthony Ward (6.87) just missed the top 10, finishing 13
th and 14
th, respectively, in the long jump.
Justin Biggs' 14.13 throw in the shot put earned him an 11th-place finish.
