Eric Lindsey | Men's Track & Field | 1995-99

Eric Lindsey was one of the most accomplished sprinters in Tennessee State University men's track and field history, earning recognition as one of the Ohio Valley Conference's premier athletes during the late 1990s. A dominant force in both the 200-meter and 400-meter events, Lindsey captured OVC Indoor Co-Athlete of the Year honors in 1998 and was named OVC Outdoor Athlete of the Year that same season, becoming one of the conference's most decorated performers. His success was built on a remarkable collection of conference championships, including OVC titles in the indoor 200 meters, indoor 400 meters, outdoor 200 meters and outdoor 400 meters. Lindsey won consecutive OVC Indoor 400-meter championships in 1997 and 1998, highlighted by a championship-winning time of 47.26 seconds in 1998. Outdoors, he claimed conference titles in both the 200 meters and 400 meters in 1996 before returning to win the 200-meter championship again in 1998. His versatility and consistency across multiple sprint events helped establish Tennessee State as one of the top athletics programs in the Ohio Valley Conference. Whether competing indoors or outdoors, Lindsey consistently delivered championship performances and demonstrated the speed, determination and competitive excellence that defined his collegiate career. His conference titles, Athlete of the Year honors and lasting impact on the Tigers' program secured his place among Tennessee State's all-time track and field greats.
