NASHVILLE - After putting together a stellar indoor spring season that saw her earn four first-place finishes and the Ohio Valley Conference Female Athlete of the Year award, Tennessee State's Elaina Housworth will now look to etch her name into the NCAA record books as she is set to compete in the NCAA Indoor T&F Championships in the triple jump.
 
The Georgia native will compete at the University of New Mexico this afternoon, March 11 (3:45 PM MT/ 4:45 PM CT, ESPN+). Housworth enters the 75-woman event ranked 15th in the nation. She is the only HBCU student-athlete competing in the triple jump.
 
Housworth's 12.19m mark in the 2023 Indoor Championships is the seventh-best among TSU triple jumpers at the OVC indoor championships. Housworth is just the third Tigerbelle to claim the Female Athlete of the Year award.
