SHOAL CREEK, Ala. – The Tennessee State women's golf team saved their best round for Wednesday's third and final round as they fired a 297 this afternoon to finish tied for 4
th in the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship.
After firing a 329 in round two, TSU was able to cut off 32 strokes today to finish with a 938 (312, 329, 297) total for the 54-hole event.
TSU had four players finish within the top 30, while
Erin Marcelino led the team with a top 10 finish as she came in 8
th place. Marcelino carded a 73, which marked her best round of the tournament as she totaled 225 (75, 77, 73).
Lucia Pantigozo logged a top-20 finish as she shot a 74 on Wednesday to finish in 18
th place with a 231 (76, 81, 74).
Kalee Rhodes had her best round of the event on Wednesday as she shot a 72, which is a TSU tournament low for the event. She finishes her career with a 28
th place finish after firing a 240 (80, 88, 72).
Alexandra Sadler closes her TSU career with a 242 (81, 83, 78) to finish tied for 30
th.
Sabria Feagins knocked off 12 strokes from Tuesday's round as she tallied a 90 to finish with a 293 (101, 102, 90) and in 52
nd.
Marcelino led TSU with 35 pars, which was tied for 3rd in the tournament. Pantigozo and Sadler led the team with six birdies a piece.
All five TSU players had their best round of the tournament today as they close their 2023 season.
