PADUCAH, Ky. – Competing in their first tournament of the fall season, the Tennessee State women's golf team sits in 12^th place after playing two rounds on day one of The Velvet Invite, hosted by Murray State at the Country Club of Paducah.
 
The Tigers finished with a combined 712 after carding a 359 in round one and a 353 in round two.
 
Erin Marcelino sits on top of the leader board for TSU after finishing with a 158 (76, 82) after two rounds. She is tied for 22^nd. Lucia Pantigozo is tied for 48^th after firing an 84 in round one and an 83 in round two to tally a 167 combined score.
 
Newcomer Trixie Sabulao tallied a 96 and 91 in rounds one and two to finish with a 187 and in 65^th place. TaLese Vaughn sits in 66^th after shooting a 106 and 97 to card a 203. Sabria Feagins tallied a 216 (103, 113) to round out TSU's lineup in 67^th place.
 
The Tigers will be back in action tomorrow to close out the Velvet Invite with 18 holes.
