PADUCAH, Ky. – The Tennessee State women's golf team concluded their first tournament of the fall season as they played 18 holes in the final round of The Velvet on Tuesday afternoon. The Tigers finished in 12
th place with a 1058 (359, 351, 348).
Erin Marcelino saved her best performance for Tuesday's final round as she carded a 75, after recording a 76 and 82 in rounds one and two. Marcelino finished tied for 11
th with a 233.
Lucia Pantigozo earned a top-35 finish as she finished tied for 33
rd with a 243 (84, 81, 78).
Trixie Sabulao logged an 87 in round three, which was her best round of the event. She finished in 65
th with a 274 (96, 91, 87).
TaLese Vaughn earned 66
th place with a 312 (106, 97, 109), while
Sabria Feagins rounded out the Tiger lineup in 67
th with a 324 (103, 113, 108).
Marcelino finished the tournament with seven birdies, which was tied for the 3
rd most in the event. She also finished -2 on Par 5 scoring opportunities which led the field.
The women's team will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday as they are set to compete in the APSU Intercollegiate.
