NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee State cross country standouts Robert Hooper and Aaron Davis are set to represent the Tigers at the NCAA South Regional Championships hosted by the University of North Alabama on Thursday, November 14, in Huntsville, Ala.

The pair has been the driving force behind TSU's men's cross country team all season, consistently leading the pack and setting the tone at every meet. Their performances have been marked by determination, steady progress, and a competitive edge that has carried the Tigers through the fall campaign.

Hooper, a senior from Tupelo, Mississippi, has anchored the Tigers throughout the season with his trademark poise and experience. Known for his closing speed and leadership, he delivered strong showings across multiple 8K courses, including a season-best performance at the UAH Chargers Invitational — the same Huntsville course that will host this year's NCAA Regional.

Davis, a freshman from Talladega, Alabama, has made an immediate impact in his first collegiate season. His growth and discipline have been evident in each race, highlighted by standout runs at the Belmont Opener and the Huntsville Invitational, where he posted personal bests and demonstrated his ability to compete with the region's elite.

The NCAA South Regional, held at John Hunt Cross Country Park, will feature top collegiate talent from across the Southeast. The men's 10K race is slated for 10 a.m., marking the Tigers' second appearance on the familiar Huntsville course this season.

As they prepare to compete against the best in the region, Hooper and Davis will look to close their 2025 campaign on a strong note — continuing to build momentum for Tennessee State cross country's future.
