ATLANTA — The Tennessee State men's track and field team competed at the prestigious Morehouse Relays and finished on the podium in multiple events.
In the Men's 800m, Devin Jones took 1st place with a time of 1:52.41, while Robert Hooper secured 3rd (1:52.63). Delton White finished 17th (2:01.65).
The Men's Sprint Medley team (Morgan Jones, John Davis, Quest Agee, and Delton White) secured 2nd place with a time of 3:31.54. The Men's 4x1 relay team (Kai Bruce, Caleb Joshway, Joshua McClendon, Oladipo Akomolafe) also finished 2nd (41.55), while the 4x2 team (Joshua McClendon, Caleb Joshway, John Davis, Oladipo Akomolafe) earned 3rd (1:28.87).
Caleb Joshway impressed in the Men's 100m, securing 3rd place (10.74), while John Davis (10th, 11.00), Kai Bruce (24th, 11.40), and Damon Jackson (31st, 11.68) also competed strongly.
In the Men's High Jump, Jonathan Wade took 3rd place with a clearance of 1.90m. The Men's Long Jump saw Zavier Williams finish 8th (6.60), Jonathan Wade in 14th (6.40), and Kylen Thorp in 18th (6.18).
The Men's 4x4 relay team (Morgan Jones, Oladipo Akomolafe, Devin Jones, and Joshua McClendon) placed 3rd (3:13.34), while another squad featuring Quest Agee, Nigel Simon, Robert Hooper, and Kai Bruce secured 7th (3:20.35).
Caleb Joshway continued his stellar performance in the Men's 200m, finishing 3rd (21.41), with Oladipo Akomolafe (6th, 21.78), Morgan Jones (10th, 22.21), and John Davis (14th, 22.28) following.
In the field events, Israel Fayne placed 5th in Men's Javelin (33.54), while Zavier Williams secured 8th (31.89). In the Men's Triple Jump, Jonathan Wade finished 7th (13.56), Kami Muvyuni took 13th (12.82), and Zavier Williams placed 15th (12.24).
In the Men's 400m Hurdles, Brian Townsend placed 7th (56.00), Bobby Teixeira finished 9th (56.52), and Kylen Thorp took 10th (57.22). Bryce Sparks completed the race in 16th (1:01.90).
In the Men's 110m Hurdles, Bobby Teixeira secured 7th place with a time of 15.54, followed by Bryce Sparks (10th, 15.61), Israel Fayne (12th, 15.98), and Brian Townsend (16th, 16.75).
Oladipo Akomolafe led the charge in the Men's 400m, finishing 2nd with a time of 47.77. He was closely followed by Morgan Jones (3rd, 48.18), Quest Agee (4th, 48.60), and Joshua McClendon (5th, 48.77). Nigel Simon finished 13th (50.39).
