BRENTWOOD – Tennessee State sophomore Devin Jones has been named Player of the Week following an impressive showing at the Commodore Challenge, where he delivered personal-best performances in multiple events.

Jones posted a PR in the 600 meters, clocking a time of 1:18.92 to finish second overall in a competitive field of 19 runners. He also played a key role in TSU's 4x400-meter relay, helping the Tigers secure a sixth-place finish out of 14 teams with a season-best time of 3:18.05.

Across the meet, Jones accumulated a team-high 23 points and contributed to 65 total team points, showcasing his versatility and consistency on the track. His performances not only highlighted his continued development as a sophomore but also provided a strong boost for Tennessee State against quality competition.

Jones' efforts at the Commodore Challenge set the tone for the Tigers as they continue through the indoor season, with momentum building heading into upcoming meets.
