BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Tennessee State women’s track and field team began the two-day Samford Open by taking part in the 200m at the SportsPlex on Friday.

Amber Hughes (Atlanta, Ga.) was TSU’s top finisher on the day, taking home seventh place by clocking in at 24.32. Mikayla Banks (Houston, Texas) also turned in a noteworthy performance with a time of 25.88 on the day.

The meet concludes tomorrow.
