Pepsi Florida Relays Conclude on Saturday for Tigerbelles

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Tennessee State women’s track and field team finished the Pepsi Florida Relays on Saturday at Percy Beard Track with strong performances in the relays.

Tennessee State captured fourth in the 4x100m shuttle hurdle relay with a time of 56.31 with the team comprised of Amber Hughes (Atlanta, Ga.), Crystal Williams (Gainesville, Fla.), Maya Ramsey (Atlanta, Ga.) and Clairwin Dameus (Boynton Beach, Fla.). The Tigerbelles finished third among NCAA relay teams in the event, placing ahead of squads from Maryland, South Carolina and Louisville, among others.

In the 4x200m relay, Dameus and Hughes teamed up with Kayla Pryor (Ellenwod, Ga.) and Mikayla Banks (Houston, Texas) to clock in at 1:39.41.  

The Tigerbelles will return to action for the APSU Invitational in Clarksville, Tenn. on April 15-16.
