NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State men's tennis team began Ohio Valley Conference play against Austin Peay at home Saturday afternoon, falling to the Govs 6-1.

Freshman Diego Britt-Alvarez garnered his second singles victory of the season at No. 6, 6-7(2), 6-2, 10-4 over APSU's Gabriel Nolasco Pozo. 

Austin Peay came away with the doubles point, with a 6-4 win at No. 1 over Leandros Misdrachis and Daniel Perez Caraballo and 6-2 over Britt-Alvarez with Oliwer Wierzbicki. 

Moving into singles action, Britt-Alvarez was the sole Tiger to claim a win, while the remainder of TSU's men made a run for set wins, leaving at least each set with one game won. 

Tennessee State will hit the courts again at Vanderbilt Wednesday, March 30 at 1 p.m. at the Currey Tennis Complex.
