JACKSONVILLE, Ala. --- The Tennessee State men's tennis team (0-12, 0-4) wrapped its season with a 7-0 loss at Jacksonville State (9-6, 3-1 OVC) Saturday afternoon.

The Gamecocks defeated Big Blue at No. 1 and 2 doubles clinching the point, leaving No. 3 doubles with
Maksims Kazijevs and
Diego Britt-Alvarez unfinished at 3-4.

Moving into singles action, the team ranked third in the Ohio Valley Conference began to work its way through the Tigers, who have struggled to put a match together this season.

Joaquin Valejo defeated junior
Maksims Kazijevs on court one, 6-3, 6-1. Senior
Stefan Koruga played his final match in blue and white, falling to Maj Tomac, 6-3, 6-1.
Leandros Misdrachis forced a tiebreaker at No. 6, coming back in the second set, but falling 10-3 in the tiebreaker. The remaining matches finished quickly, closing out the 2020-21 season for the Tennessee State Tiger men's tennis team.
