Men's Tennis Falls to Xavier 4-3 in Neutral Site Matchup

Box Score KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Playing against a tough Xavier team in a neutral site matchup, the Tennessee State men's tennis team dropped their match 4-3 this afternoon to the Musketeers. The loss moves TSU to 3-10 on the season.
 
The Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after taking the doubles point to start the match. The doubles duo of Pierre Copin / Nil Moinet earned a 6-2 win at line one, while Jonasz Dziopak / Nicholas Adamec notched a 7-5 victory in the No. 3 doubles spot.
 
Dziopak carried his good play into the singles portion of play, picking up a 6-2, 6-0 win at line one. Taj Hibbert won a tough three-set match in the No. 4 spot, winning 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 to give TSU its third point of the match. 
 
Tied at 3-3, the match would come down to Daniel Caraballo in the No. 3 slot, who would be just edged 6-7, 6-7 to give Xavier the win.
 
The Tigers will have one more non-conference match this Thursday as they will host Alabama A&M at 1:00 p.m.
