Men's Tennis Claims HBCU National Championship Title

ATLANTA – The Tennessee State men's tennis team claimed the HBCU National Championship Title on Saturday evening as they competed in the three-day 14-team HBCU National Tennis tournament.
 
TSU took home the championship title after earning 88 points, with Alabama A&M being the next closest team with 79 points.

The tournament included teams from eight national conferences in this year's 22nd event. The schools participating were from the Horizon League, MEAC, CAA, SWAC, Big South, SIAC, OVC, GCAC and ECAC. This includes Division I, Division II, and NAIA institutions being represented.  

The Team Champion was determined by individual play across the singles and doubles draws. Points were awarded based on finish and the team with the most points at the end of the Championship takes home the Team National Championship.
