Box Score COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - In a thrilling final regular-season match, the Tennessee State men's tennis team secured a 4-3 victory over Tennessee Tech in Horizon League play on Monday afternoon. TSU closes out the regular season with a record of 7-18 overall and 4-1 in conference play while finishing second in the South division.
This was the program's first ever win over TTU, moving them to 1-37 all-time against the Golden Eagles.
The doubles matchups set the tone for the contest, with Tennessee Tech claiming victory in two out of three matches.
Nil Moinet and
Diego Britt-Alvarez represented TSU in at line one match but were defeated 2-6.

Daniel Caraballo faced off against Paulo Ramos Martin and Murilo Burckhardt in the second spot and fell 4-6.
Rohan Loubser and
Taj Hibbert secured a win at line three, defeating Alex Alvarez and Darek Kuczynski 6-4.
TSU was able to bounce back in the singles portion of play, securing victories in four out of six matches. Dziopak dominated his singles match against Alex Alvarez, logging a 6-2, 6-4 win.
Hibbert picked up a 6-3, 6-4 commanding win at line three.
Diego Britt-Alvarez also contributed to TSU's success, securing victory with scores of 6-4, 6-4 against Davids Spaks.
Nil Moinet cruised to a win in the four spot, defeating Lucas Bitzer 6-1, 6-1.
The Tigers will now prepare for the upcoming Horizon League Conference Tournament that will be played in West Lafayette, Ind., on April 26-28. TSU will take on Youngstown State in the first round on Friday at 10:00 a.m. CT.
