Men's Golf Ties for Fifth at Alabama State Spring Classic

MONTGOMERY, ALA. — The Tennessee State University men's golf team tied for fifth out of 10 teams, recording a total score of 626 over two rounds (319 in the first round and 307 in the second) at the Alabama Spring Classic held at Arrowhead Country Club. 

Individually, junior Bryar Moss led TSU with a fourth-place finish, posting a two-round total of 148 (75 in the first round, 73 in the second). Sophomore Quincy Robert tied for 17th place with a total score of 156 (79 in the first round, 77 in the second).

Freshman Aden Napier and senior Sampo Ståhl both tied for 33rd, each carding a 162. Napier improved from an 85 in the first round to a 77 in the second, while Ståhl recorded rounds of 82 and 80. Senior Luke Greig rounded out the team, finishing 41st with consistent rounds of 83, totaling 166.

The tournament was won by Kentucky State University, which posted a combined team score of 606. Texas Southern's Kci Lindskog secured the individual title with a total score of 146.
