NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State men's tennis team fell 6-0 at Vanderbilt on Wednesday afternoon, competing closely with the Commodores in several matches across doubles and singles play.

Vanderbilt claimed the doubles point by winning both pairings. At No. 1 doubles, the TSU duo of Taj Hibbert and Jamed Adler Germinal stayed within striking distance early before Vanderbilt pulled away to secure the win. In the No. 2 position, Alexander Adamec and Tatenda Mutetwa battled through a back-and-forth contest, with the score even multiple times before Vanderbilt closed out the match to clinch the doubles point.

In singles play, the Tigers continued to fight throughout the lineup.

Hibbert competed at the No. 1 spot, dropping the opening set before settling into a tighter second set that featured several momentum swings. Adler Germinal followed at No. 2, working his way back into contention during the second set after falling behind early. Adamec faced a tough challenge at No. 3 singles, while Mutetwa put together one of TSU's strongest performances of the day at No. 4, taking control early in the first set before Vanderbilt responded to earn the point.

At No. 5 singles, Christopher Bogelin answered a first-set loss with an improved second set, pushing the match deep before Vanderbilt sealed the victory.

TSU will be back in action on February 7th in Louisville, KY as the Tigers take on the Cardinals at 5 pm.
