Men's Tennis Drops Road Match to Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Tennessee State men's tennis team continued its road stretch on Friday evening, falling 7-0 to Louisville at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

The Cardinals claimed the doubles point early, winning all three matches to take a 1-0 lead heading into singles play. At the No. 1 spot, James Adler Germinal and Taj Hibbert battled in a competitive 6-4 decision against Louisville's nationally ranked duo. Louisville also secured a win at No. 2 doubles, while the No. 3 match was decided by forfeit.

In singles action, Louisville swept all six matches to clinch the dual. Hibbert competed at the top of the lineup, dropping a 6-3, 6-3 decision at No. 1 singles, while Adler Germinal faced Andre' Steinbach at the No. 2 position. Christopher Bogelin, Alexander Adamec, and Tatenda Mutetwa rounded out the lineup for the Tigers, gaining valuable experience against a strong Cardinals squad.

The match began at 5 p.m. and lasted just under two hours. Tennessee State will look to build on the outing as the Tigers continue their spring schedule.
